Spindrift Soda Photoshoot

After the initial launch of Spindrift’s first Soda line in early 2025, the team refined the product and packaging based on post-launch research ahead of a relaunch. The brand needed a new visual direction to differentiate Soda from both its sparkling line and the growing “better-for-you soda” category. With marketing strategy still evolving, there was an opportunity to explore how visual storytelling could help define the product’s identity.

My Role

I led the development of the visual direction and oversaw pre-production planning and on-set art direction for two photoshoots supporting the Soda re-launch.

The Challenge

How could we differentiate Spindrift Soda from both the sparkling line and the growing “better-for-you soda” category? Competitors often rely on neon colors, gradients, and highly stylized or artificial visuals, while Spindrift is grounded in real ingredients and authenticity. The goal was to create a visual system that felt bold and playful, without losing the brand’s natural, ingredient-forward foundation.

Visual Strategy

The creative direction focused on emphasizing the product’s higher juice content and real fruit flavor profile that produced a slightly sweet beverage through imagery that felt bold yet grounded in real ingredients.

Key Visual Element 01

Bright, saturated three-tone color palettes inspired by the new packaging.

Key Visual Element 02

Macro photography highlighting the bubbly texture and juiciness.

Key Visual Element 03

Paper textures and simple geometric shapes to introduce playfulness without overwhelming the product.

Outcome

The two photoshoots established a foundational visual direction for the Soda relaunch and produced a library of product and lifestyle assets that will support upcoming campaign and marketing initiatives.

The work also helped define how the Soda line could visually differentiate itself within the Spindrift portfolio while maintaining the brand’s commitment to real ingredients and authentic visuals.

Special thanks to Michael Bueno for photography, production support, and creative collaboration throughout the shoot process.
